Leak Detection & Repair

Leaks may be easy to spot but are not always easy to solve. Rainwater Restoration & Waterproofing has over 20 years of experience tracking down and solving all different types of leaks. We provide a wide range of Waterproofing Services for both Residential and Commercial Buildings. The first step in any Waterproofing job is easy to identify, that is, where exactly the water is showing up at in the first place. The second step is not always that obvious. With waters ability to be driven by blowing rains, masked by other structures, or with even traveling horizontally across many feet, not all leaks are so straight forward. At RR&W we have become skilled at quickly identifying the entry points of most leaks. We will come out to your property so you can show us exactly what is going on with your leak. We will then make a quick assessment of your particular situation and then let you know exactly what steps we recommend taking to stop your leak. We will provide pictures of where we think the most likely source of your water penetration is and pictures of the completed work after we are done.

Most work can be completed the same day !

Waterproofing

With such a wide range of waterproofing tools and materials from Sealants and Coatings to Cement and Foam Grout, it pays to have an Waterproofing expert on your job to fix, or preferably prevent your leak in the first place. There is also a wide range of tools and skills needed to do the job, often requiring very tall ladders and very dangerous circumstances. The most common problems we see on jobs is that most Builders, Contractors and Handyman services often use the wrong materials and techniques, or they just don’t have the skills and know how to make their work look good and to do the job right. Although waterproofing is no harder than most other trades, it does take a long time to perfect the skills and it does take someone very detail oriented. Unlike other trades where you can get away with imperfection, waterproofing requires 100% detailed accuracy or You will still have a Leak !

Being in business in the Austin Area since the year 2000, we are very familiar with what it takes to make our work look good and get the job done right. We always carry the right ladders, tools and most common colors of materials to match your particular job to make our work look good and blend in with your structure for the most desirable results possible.

Joint Sealants

One main problem we see over and over again is that many Contractors and Builders simply use the wrong materials on Residential projects so their material just won’t hold up under extreme Texas Weather. They also have someone unqualified to install these poor materials. They may not use a tool to strike the sealant properly, if they even strike it at all, which means that the material just won’t bond properly to your structure. At RR&W we always install the right amount of material, including to the right depth, and then strike our sealant smooth so that it bonds properly to your structure and looks great too. From Polyurethane to Silicone and from Self-Leveling to Non-Sag, we use only the finest commercial grade Sealants to make our work hold up and last a long time so you get your Money’s worth.

Deck Coating

Deck Coatings are often used as a finished product to waterproof Balconies and Pool Decks. They can also be used as an underlayment on balconies that are covered in stone or tile. This system is made up of a Base Coat and a Top Coat insuring and extra thick coating that will insure a long life. Also, since this Cold Fluid Applied Coating that is rolled on, there are no membrane seams that can fail and let in water when the mortar in the Stone or Tile inevitably fails.

Wall Coating

Wall Coatings are used on Stucco walls where cracks often appear. It’s important to always be diligent and stay on top of all cracks in Stucco walls no matter how small the cracks may appear. If water enters these cracks and it freezes then the cracks will get bigger fast and leaks could occur if the water is not flashed out properly which could cause mold, mildew and structural damage to your property.

Warranty - 2 Year Warranty on all Sealant Work

Waterproofing can be a process of elimination. With our 20+ years in the business, we see the same types of leaks over and over again. 90% of the time we can solve the problem our first time out. With that said, around 10% of the time additional work will be required for an additional cost once the obvious sources of water infiltration are sealed. We give a 2 Year Warranty on all Sealant work and guarantee that our sealant will hold up for at least 2 years. Actually, once installed it should remain flexible and hold up with seasonal movement and not crack or separate from the structure for the life of the sealant, which is usually 10-15 years.

Exclusions – Hydro – Action Grout Injections

This process is done from the inside (Negative Waterproofing) and will most likely take more injections before all, or most, of the water, can be stopped. This technique involves drilling holes in the bottom of a concrete wall to intersect the keyway in the slab and filling the holes with a hydro-active grout that expands with water. Injections, whenever possible to use, will save time and money by not having to dig out the dirt from the outside to waterproof the below-grade wall.
